How to Connect via FTP Using Your cPanel Username

In your FTP client of choice, you will need 4 items to log in (host, username, and password). Use the following items to log in:

1. Host: YOURDOMAIN.com

   ℹ️ You can also use "ftp.YOURDOMAIN.com" which will use port 21 as the default.

   You can also use the IP address of your server.

2. Username: Your cPanel user

3. Password: The password for your cPanel user

4. Port: 21

   ℹ️ Port 21 is the default port for FTP.

5. Click connect

How to connect via FTP using a created account:

1. Host: YOURDOMAIN.com

2. Username: ACCOUNT@YOURDOMAIN.com

3. Password: The password you created for this account

4. Port: 21

5. Click connect

ℹ️ Note: Using FTP is useful because you can download and upload files for your website.
